FlightRadar Manual

Welcome to the FlightRadar user manual.

FlightRadar is a standalone desktop flight-radar display from TopBytes Ltd. A 7-inch capacitive touchscreen driven by an ESP32-S3 shows a green "military radar" scope of the aircraft currently overhead on the left, and a live detail panel for any aircraft you tap on the right — callsign, altitude, speed, heading, range and bearing, plus the aircraft type, operator and route where they can be looked up.

FlightRadar needs nothing more than a 2.4 GHz WiFi network and a USB-C power supply. Live aircraft positions are fetched over the internet from the community adsb.fi open-data network, so there is no receiver, antenna or Raspberry Pi to set up — power it on, join it to your WiFi on the screen, tell it where "home" is, and the scope fills with traffic.
